"Chrome Auto Emblem" - Pope Band Fund Raiser
Just in time for the upcoming Holidays the Pope Band is rolling out an exciting new fundraising promotion for you and your student(s) through a partnership with Elektroplate, manufacturer of a high-end line of Chrome Auto Emblems. You and your student have the opportunity to purchase and/or sell these unique emblems to family, friends, neighbors, fellow students and work associates. There’s something for everyone with many emblems to choose from including Collegiate, Greek, Triathlon/Marathon, Pets, DC Comics, Military Hunting & Fishing, Flags/Ribbons and Organization/Letters. The entire selection is displayed in a colorful catalog which will be handed out to each student along with instructions this Friday.
Treat this catalog just like it is – a catalog. Pass it around to family, friends, neighbors and fellow students. Have a parent take the catalog to his/her office and share with co-workers. There is a limited supply of additional catalogs available for distribution. When interacting with prospective customers, clearly communicate that the proceeds benefit the Pope Band. With hundreds of emblem offerings in the catalog, it is easy to find something each customer can relate to or is passionate about. Make sure to discuss with the customer that they make great gifts (Birthdays, stocking stuffer for Christmas, etc.). Take advantage of Thanksgiving while gathered with family and friends, it’s a great opportunity to sell, sell, sell. Set a realistic goal (recommended goal is ten (10) emblems per student) and try to exceed it. Separately it is a small number but when combined with all the other students sales will produce significant revenue to the Band.
The most frequently asked questions are “How do they attach?” and “Are they paint safe?”. All emblems attach via a PAINT-SAFE adhesive foam tape. The foam tape is automotive grade and will not affect the vehicle’s paint. The emblem will not be damaged by extreme weather or car washes and can be safely removed at any time. Reference page three (3) of the catalog for an illustration on the simple application process.
Taking orders is easy too! Simply select an emblem(s) from the catalog. Pricing is listed at the top of each product page. Each emblem has a unique item #. Fill in the required information on the order form which is conveniently located on the inside back cover of the catalog. Feel free to make copies of the order form if more room is required! Make sure to collect the full amount of money from the customer at the time of the sale (customers pay full retail price as listed at the top of each page). If the customer pays by check, that check must be made payable to the parent. When the orders are turned in there must be only one check for the total amount ordered, from the parent of the child turning in the order. Make the check payable to: PBPA. Checks from the individuals who are placing the order will not be accepted.
The Chrome Auto Emblem sale will run from Friday, November 9th through Wednesday, November 28th. All order forms must be turned in to the band room on or before Wednesday, November 28th. This is necessary to ensure delivery to customers prior to the Holidays. Place the completed order form with a single check issued by the parent, in the exact amount of what is listed on the order form total, in a sealed envelope and drop the envelope in the white box labeled “Chrome Emblem Fundraiser”. The emblems will arrive in early December. More shipment details will follow as we get closer to that date.
